The LG Solar focus on quality control sits at the heart of its manufacturing philosophy. This quality-first philosophy has been developed through decades of creating top class electronic equipment.
Today LG Solar has a team of more than one hundred engineers working in solar research and development. Its solar panel manufacturing plant uses the latest state-ofthe-art equipment to manufacture solar panels that deliver product reliability and high performance for decades to come. It means every component from PV cells to glass and framing undergoes individual performance testing and separate quality control. If the quality of any component does not meet LG’s industry leading standards, then it will be rejected.
LG Solar is a leader in renewable solar energy with high efficient panels generating electric power via photovoltaic systems. There are specific features of LG Solar panels such as:
Many of LG solar panels are used on grid as part of residential solar systems, but LG are now seeing increased use of renewable power for commercial solar energy power systems.
The latest Mono X® Plus benefits from years of LG research. The fifth generation LG Mono X® Plus offers long warranties and a higher efficiency, strong framing and Australia’s highest wind loading panel. The LG Mono X® Plus will provide many years of clean, reliable energy.
Choosing the high quality Mono X® Plus is an investment in superior standards of design, manufacture, back up support and warranties. The high quality is the result of LG’s strong commitment to developing a panel that delivers reliable, high output for years for a peace of mind solar solution.
LG Mono X® Plus 360W panels are a similar physical size to many conventional 72 cell 320W panels. This means with the LG Mono X® plus 360W you get 12.5% more electricity per square meter than a 320W panel.
The LG NeON® range has seen many improvements, from longer warranties and higher efficiency to stronger frames and better wind loading. These panels are ideal for homes seeking a visually pleasing solar panel and for roofs where space is tight or where future system expansions are considered e.g. to incorporate battery storage or electric car charging.
The LG NeON® panels with their double sided cells and CELLO technology absorb light from the front and the back of the cell. This technology sets a new standard for innovation and was recognised with the 2015 Photovoltaic Innovation Award at the Intersolar Industry Event in Germany. LG also won the 2016 Intersolar award for our new NeON BiFacial range.
The LG NeON® 2 panels with their double sided cells and CELLO technology absorb light from the front and the back of the cell. This technology sets a new standard for innovation.
LG NeON® 2’s 330W are a similar physical size to many conventional 260W panels. This means with the LG NeON® 2 330W you get 27% more electricity per square metre than a 260W panel.
G NeON® Black panels with their black cells, black frames and black backsheet give an aesthetically pleasing uniform appearance. Standard competitor poly panels have blue cells and grey aluminium frames.
LG NeON® Black’s 315W panels are a similar physical size to many of the industries 260W panels. This means up to 23% more electricity per square metre with LG NeON® 2 Black.
When you are buying a solar panel from LG you are dealing with an international company that has the capacity and longevity to provide reliable backup and makes their warranties count for many decades*
LG’s 10 year product warranty provides peace of mind, because LG will authorise a module repair or replacement for any major failure caused by a manufacturing or materials defect.
LG’s panel support policy includes a linear performance warranty, which guarantees a power output of 80.2% after 25 years. The linear warranty allows the purchaser of LG solar panels to calculate the amount of electricity being generated by their system for each of the next 25 years with a degree of certainty. LG black cells and black frames give an aesthetically pleasing uniform black appearance.
LG panels offer more electricity per square meter than conventional sized panels. This means more kW of solar on your roof.
The LG Panel has reduced the initial degradation of solar cells by controlling the reaction of Boron and Oxygen, a key factor of LID (Light Induced Degradation).
LG solar panels have received certification for Salt Mist Corrosion to maximum severity 6 and Ammonia Resistance.
When it comes to wind forces (rear load) many competitor panels are certified to 2400 Pascals. LG panels are certified to 5400 Pascals, which provides at least double the strength and durability to a standard panel.
If (for example) you buy a 300 Watt panel then the flash test of this panel will show somewhere between 300W and 309W. Some competitor panels have -/+ tolerance, so you could get a flash test result below the rated Watt, meaning you pay for Watts you never get.
Solar panels slowly lose the ability to generate power as they get hotter. LG solar panels have a better temperature co-efficient than many standard modules, and will deliver higher output in hot weather.
Great performance under low light conditions. At 200W/m2 the LG panel efficiency drop is -2% while many standard panels reduce by -4%.
PID (Potential Induced Degradation) affects the long term ability of panels to produce high level electricity output. LG panels have anti PID technology.
